The Modern Contemporary Interior Design

Both were 20 miracle of the century they began to tap a erral or archaist heavy furniture and rustic furniture in fantasy, which for centuries had dominated the inside. So what is the difference between a modern and contemporary interior design? The modern design is the use of cheaper furniture that is clean, elegant and mass produced. The modern design was born in the late 20th century, and are more likely to use recycled materials, glass and all sorts of variations in shape plastic, molded, and chromium is used too. This is called the difference between the modern and contemporary.

• The biggest difference is that the matrices of modern uses of steel, iron or chromium. Although both designs are similar, later in the 20th century, the materials began to be molded into curved shapes against the wood is used in walls, cupboards and benches. Each of these styles can be applied to contemporary music, but more pleasant, more funk, straight and wide.

• Many people believe that the difference is time. Many are said to be a modern contemporary design time. This is another reason why they are so closely related, but because they are different. The modern design is stylish and can last a long time, while the modern variations on a regular basis.

• One area that both designs have a similar style. Both because of symmetry, composition and clean lines. Both have nice, a clean and can be very long, but not transferred in time astatine modern and contemporary. Whatever your perences, your home will soon be called home, as both designs work very soothing and elegant, sophisticated and suave.

New Years Arrangements and the Stare Down

I look out the window and not much of anything is blooming right now, except for my Camellia bushes. Yesterday I decided to cut a few and scatter them throughout the house.

For a festive look that didnt scream Christmas and more like New Years, I added the stems to a few mercury glass candle holders that I got at Garden Ridge Pottery for next to nothing, and placed them on top of a mirror with a few glass balls sprinkled around.
For an extra touch of whimsy I added these silver curly sticks ( I have no idea what you call them) that I got in the dried floral section of Hobby Lobby.
I love seeing the pops of pink especially with all of this dreary, rainy, cold weather we have been having.
I know its a winter bloom, but it just screams Spring to me....
but not so fast.
I look in the other room and not only is the Christmas tree staring at me ready to come down, but also the dog and the new pony are in a stare down of their own.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas Day.

Grateful for~
wonderful 2 weeks with my mom

Sit On The Hottest Sofa Styles In Modern Interior Design

Years go by, times change and people grow. Along the way, they adopt new attitudes, experiences, tastes and opinions. And because of this unavoidable phenomenon, humans form the need for their homes to change too. Sometimes, the change is as simple as re-arranging existing furniture within rooms. Sometimes, its a new paint job. Sometimes, people hang newly acquired works of art on their walls. But you know its a major change when the time comes to replace your sofa. The sofa is a vital part of any home. It is probably the place where people sit most, and the centerpiece of furniture in the largest room of the house. To put it plainly, sofas are one of the most important parts of home interior design. If youre looking to replace your sofa, read on for some suggestions that range from formal to funky, and not to mention "comfy".

Settee sofa. If you are looking to up the class factor, you might be interested in a cozy settee sofa for the new look. These antique-style loveseats have exposed wooden frames and silk upholstery. They look like something straight out of a parlor room in a French Rococo mansion.

Circular sofa. A hip, cutting-edge and ultra-modern circular sofa would look magnificent in the middle of a living room. Perhaps what is most intriguing about the circular sofa, (other than its circular shape) is the weird dynamic for conversation that it creates. If three people were sitting around a circular sofa, they would all be facing away from each other, outward looking at different corners of the room. A circular sofa could only lead to exciting and interesting things.

Futon. Lastly, you can always change things up by replacing your old sofa with a futon. Futons give off a simplified, modern look that can Zen out your living space. Plus, since they easily unfold into beds, they are great for hosting guests.

Get creative when going out to pick a new couch, but make sure to remember, that whatever interior design decisions you make, youll have to sit on for a long time...

Classic Interior Design Ideas for the Season of Snow

Decorating your house for different seasons is definitely a good idea to test your creativity and add elegance to your house. All you need to have is a bit of creativity and enough patience to mix and match colors and themes. Irrespective of how you want to design your house, choosing the right color combination is a vital point in interior designing. The bottom line is light colors make a room look larger and dark colors make a room look denser and more crowded.

Of all seasons, winter fills the nature with misty white snow and frosty beauty. Decorating your house to match the winter season is a great idea to kindle creativity and spur life into dull rooms.

Here are few interior design ideas that you can use to design your home during winter season.

    # Add natural elements to your rooms

How much ever you decorate your rooms, there is nothing to beat the beauty of nature during winter season. To give a similar feeling, you can consider placing elegantly arranged dried flowers, pine cones, pebbles, or stones in trays or glass bowls in your rooms. Moreover, placing scented candles or adding aroma to rooms using fragrant oils is another great idea to trigger your senses.

You can also think of placing classic white potteries to add warmth to your room, but if you don’t want to spend on expensive potteries, then the next low-cost alternative is to place glass jars filled with white beads and Epsom salt. You can also place battery-operated candles inside the glass jars for radiant white glow at night or you can tie the glass jars with white wool scarves.

    # Make your rooms look comfortable

Decorating your rooms for winter season is all about adding comfort to make them warm, homely and cozy. To start with, you can think of changing the furniture covers to match winter season theme. Furniture covers that are soft and fluffy would add warmth and comfort. For curtains and beddings, think of using flannels to add richness to the setting. During peak winter season, you can include more soft pillows and cushions to add more inviting comfort. Moreover, to have rugs on floor can save you from walking on icy cold floor.

    # Select the color scheme

Seeing the nature filled with pure white snow is a heavenly feeling. The same goes with rooms that have creamy white settings. To reflect the winter season, the best colors are light yellow, golden yellow, baby pink or different shades of white. Some people, however, like to have dark colors that contrast with winter season theme. Even though choosing a color is purely a personal choice, light colors go really well for winter season decorations.

Decorating rooms for winter season requires a bit of patience and creativity. Instead of toiling to finish the decoration within short time, if you plan your work ahead and do it in small parts, then you will be able to design your rooms much more creatively.
